This year we were extremely fortunate to have won the #1 winning COE lot from Colombia, more specifically, from Associacion Los Naranjos in Colombia. We secured their fly crop as well, and it has now arrived in our warehouse, ID3699. This coffee has been a godsend in our hopper over the past few weeks. It is very rich, with caramel notes, red fruit like raineer cherries, citric acidity, and dark chocolate. We liken the shots to sitting by a warm fire with stockings on...well that may be a little much, but seriously this coffee is heart warming and delicious.
We have received our first container of this year's Rwanda ID3489, which cupped out as a classic, well-balanced cup. The distinctive acidity and rich juicy body makes this lot taste like fruit juice! The classic Rwandan wine-like profile and complex acidity shine through with plenty of citrus and sweetness to round out the cup. See ID P3489 for full cupping notes and keep an eye out for more Rwandans just around the corner.
