The Second Coming. . . .

Los Naranjos de San Agustin is back!!!!! It was the top placing Colombian last year at the SCAA cupping pavilion. We loved this Colombian, in fact, had fallen back in love with Colombians because of this coffee, and just sat back and waited for the next shipment to arrive. It never did. A bad mitaca crop in Colombia, and we had to disappoint many who were waiting for the second coming of this coffee. Well, it's here. It took six months more, but it's here. Rich tropical fruits. Thick coconuty body. Only six months late, but many have been waiting longer for other second comings, so we think that this is not too long of a wait.

NYT article on cyphon and Clover

Another article in the Times, talks about the Clover brewer, and about a new cyphon bar that Blue Bottle has installed at a cost of $20k. Doesn't make the Clover seem outrageous now, does it?

FTO Natural Yerg is here.

The natural Harfusa has arrived. We cupped it today and it definitely has blueberry. It is a little gradey and earthy, as the naturals tend to be, and does have a bit of a menthol quality to it.
We've got about 125 bags of this unsold and is all we'll have for naturals until newcrop starts to ship... whenever that will be! If you're in need of an FTO Natural Yerg, give us a call today!

Improvement to the offerings page

We love how much people are using our site, especially the online offering sheet. We have gotten feedback, though, that it is a bit difficult to understand. We're looking into a more long-term fix for this, while working within the inventory program limitations. In the meantime, though, we've added a guide that explains what each column of the offering sheet means, so that you can better use it in helping guide your coffee purchases.
Please check it out here, and click the 'Get the most out of this page' button in the lower left.

Thanks!

Further unrest in Kenya

Opposition parliamentarian, Melitus Mugabe Were, was killed in Nairobi. This is causing further unrest in Kenya. For more information, check out a NYT article here.
We can expect that this will jeapordize coffee shipments out of Kenya, and even Rwanda, Burundi and Uganda.
