Cafe Imports, the independently-owned, high end boutique green coffee importer is seeking a new entry-level Coffee Salesperson. The ideal candidate holds a college degree with a minimum 3.2 GPA, is a coffee fanatic/Foodie/beer wine lover-type of person and is aesthetically inclined.  The candidate need also possess communication and organizational skills. Ideal candidate will have ability to focus and get job done while managing multiple tasks. Excellent phone and communication skills are required. Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, Swahili, or French is a major plus. Math and analytic skills are needed. You will be participating in daily cuppings, where we taste coffees to look for defects and flavor attributes. This is essential in determining which coffees we purchase and general quality control. You will initially learn how we operate and help input sales, field sales calls, answer customer questions, etc. You may also help with monthly Fair Trade reporting, and other general tasks, all of which will help you build your understanding of the coffee business. This is a rare opportunity to enter a company that invests in the skills of its staff. You will learn more about coffee than you thought there was to know.  Salary is entry level.
