Quality Control Manager

Jamin Haddox spends his days tucked away in the roasting lab analyzing coffee samples and meticulously preparing daily cuppings.

A casual coffee drinker since his youth, Jamin's epiphany with specialty coffee came after his first taste of press pot coffee. After experiencing how eminently more complex, flavorful, and rewarding quality coffee could be, he was hooked and compelled to discover everything he could about coffee roasting. This curiosity fanned into passion as his journey of discovery led him to better and better coffees, culminating in several transcendental experiences with perfectly extracted shots of espresso.

Before his fascination with coffee brought him to Café Imports, Jamin spent several years touring as a drummer, working as a graphic designer, remodeling homes, and managing a local coffee roaster/retailer. When he's not playing with coffee, Jamin can be found generally enjoying life. His hobbies include travel, music, cooking, and wine.  He has recently begun experimenting with all-grain brewing and the pursuit of the perfect sourdough pizza crust.  A glutton for punishment and convinced that convenience and quality are usually mutually exclusive; he has purchased several vintage rangefinder cameras and has been sucked into the aggravating and character-building realm of amateur film photography.  Jamin is a licensed Q Grader and Star Cupper.  He resides in Northeast Minneapolis with his wife of equally unique name, Jayneen.
