HIRING: Quality Control Assistant

Cafe Imports, an independently-owned, specialty coffee importer located in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking an entry-level full-time Quality Control Assistant.

Job Description: As assistant to the Quality Control Manager, you will be responsible for organizing and preparing coffee samples for daily cuppings, quality assessment of green and roasted coffee, and communication of results to all affected departments. Primary responsibilities include sample roasting, sensory analysis (cupping), green grading, and data entry.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate is a continual learner who takes an interest in details. You must really enjoy the taste of coffee. Strong communication skills both written and verbal plus computer proficiency are necessary. Previous coffee-related experience and cupping experience are pluses but not required.

Position Classification: Full-time, non-exempt. Benefits include paid vacation, paid sick, 401k, and health insurance.
