Origins: Hawaii


Coffees from Hawaii are famous for their exclusivity: Because the coffee-growing area within the island state is very small, only a limited amount is produced each year. The small quantities and the United States origin mean that these coffees tend to be pricier than other regions', though the quality varies greatly. We offer coffees from both Kona and Maui, though Kona coffee is the more famous of the two. Hawaiian coffees are sorted and graded by screen size, density, moisture content, and quality: The separations are Extra Fancy, Fancy, Number 1, Select, Prime, and Peaberry.
