Working with Us

EXPLORE OUR OFFERINGS

Buying “spot” coffee means taking coffee that we currently have in our warehouse. For a list of current availability, please check the coffee offerings section of our website. (You can also see future offerings by clicking on AFLOAT to see all coffees on the water in route to us, or OPEN to see all coffees contracted but not yet shipped.)

Sort by country, certification, processing type, or even by flavour profile. We have worked hard to make an offerings page that fits the way our customers buy coffee. If you have feedback, please let us know on how we can make it better.

Purchasing coffees in full-pallet increments ensures the best value in shipping. See our shipping page for more information.

CONTRACTING

Contracting coffee with us is easy, and can serve several purposes.

Customers may build contracts to secure a supply of coffees that are already available in our warehouse. This allows a roaster to guarantee that a certain amount of coffee is available in their position to be released as needed, and also saves space in their roastery by utilizing our warehousing.

Customers may also purchase forward contracts, which allows a roaster to secure a supply of coffee that has not yet shipping from the growing country, or even before the harvest has begun. Forward contracts can be written on basis of pre-ship or arrival samples, or they can be price-fixed to secure an advantageous market rate. We have a variety of contracting and hedging tools for your use and benefit, and we are happy to help you find the purchasing strategy that makes the most sense for you and your business. Feel free to contact us via e-mail with any questions about the various contract options that exist.

SAMPLES

Sampling is free and we encourage you to take advantage of the option in order to calibrate with your sales representative, so we can better understand the types of coffees you are searching for. We provide samples of green coffee (200g) or roasted coffee (100g) for roasters with intent to buy.

Payments

Payment for new customers is done by bank transfer or credit card. Our customers are set up on net 14-day terms.

There is no minimum purchase. We pride ourselves on being able to serve roasters of all sizes, needs, and styles.

PRICING

Pricing is not published on the website, due to daily market-based changes and differing pricing structures for spot and contracted orders. For current pricing, please e-mail our office.

WCR CHECK-OFF FUND PARTICIPATION

We are pleased to offer our customers the opportunity to opt in to the World Coffee Research check-off fund. Participating roasters can pledge to contribute one Australian cent ($0.01 AUD) per kilo of coffee purchased through Cafe Imports Australia, who will collect and remit the funds to World Coffee Research on a quarterly basis. Read more and register to participate at our World Coffee Research check-off fund page.

Please note: Cafe Imports Australia is a wholesale business and therefore is not permitted to sell coffee to the general public. Thank you for understanding.
