The farm was founded in 1925 by the Luethje family in the surrounding area of El Tacana Volcano
Biosphere Reserve.  It is located in the province of Motozintla, in Chiapas State, at the south of México country, and south of the slopes of the Biosphere Reserve of Tacana Volcano.
 
As of today, the farms is owned by the exporter group Ecom which continues the tradition of maintaining the high respect for the nature and it is why it has implemented a set of best conservation practices like a waste water treatment plant, conservation of soil and diversified shade of trees inside coffee plantation like Guaba, Walnut, Mahogany, Spanish cedar, Inga, Nispero, etc.
 
The farm’s production area is 212 hectares, and 10% of their total land is primary forest and river buffer zones.
 
During the season, usually there a temporary population of 400 people on the farm.
 
Annual production is 330,400 pounds
