Lo Mejor de Mexico #4 - Ejido La Unión Buena Vista (GrainPro)

View Beanology

San Pedro Buena Vista is a 66-hectare farm owned by Iber Castellanos, who initially used only 6 hectares of the land for coffee production. He purchased the farm in 1979, and he and his wife have tried to increase their coffee production in order to take full advantage of the programs and services provided through the Instituto Mexicano del Café. Now, they have 22 hectares planted with high-quality coffee. Don Iber and his wife and daughter, who also helps run San Pedro Buena Vista, hope to make their next investment into building better drying patios to facilitate the processing of their coffee.
