At Cafe Imports, we’re all about bringing people together through a shared love of coffee. During this time when our social interactions are limited, we’ve really missed the diverse coffee community that we are all a part of. It’s our hope that the Legendary Coffee Exchange can help us share the magic of coffee, and remind us of the wonderful way it connects us all. Oh, and to enjoy a bit of sensory exploration with a new friend, of course!
HOW IT WORKS
1. Sign up!
Sign-ups are open from March 16–30.
2. Get randomly matched with another coffee roaster.
We’ll introduce you to your exchange partner via email.
3. Send an 8–16 oz. bag of a single-origin coffee roasted by you to your exchange partner.
4. Cup your own coffee alongside your exchange partner’s.
You can find our in-house cupping form here, and watch a video featuring Cafe Imports sensory analysis director Ian Fretheim for more information on how to use it. (If you prefer to do your own thing, that’s great, too. Only use what’s helpful.)
5. Make time to share your feedback and cupping results with your exchange partner via email, Zoom, FaceTime or whatever feels best.
6. Let us know how it went!
We’ll send out a quick survey after the exchange, and we can’t wait to hear about your experiences.
