Wahundura Factory is a wet mill owned and operated by the Kamacharia Farmer's Co-operative Society. KFCS was registered with the ministry of co-operative development and marketing in 1993 after liquidation of a large society called Kagima. the KFCS was licensed by the Coffee Board of Kenya to operate Kagumoini, Rikiberu, Wahundura and Karugiro factories. The wet mills draw their membership from the Kamacharia, Gathunya, Thuita, and Kiru areas. The total registered members in the Kamacharia Farmer's Co-op Society is 4919, with total active members at Wahundura accounting for 1108 (899 males, 209 females).

The Society is managed by a committee of seven members elected at the the factory levels and then confirmed by the annual general meeting for a term of three years. The management committe is supervised by a committee of threemembers, also elected by the members in a general meeting. The day to day operations of the society is run by the society manager. KFCS has 24 permanent staff, and their office is located at the Riakiberu wet mill.

Coffee parchment is dried at Wahundura, and then transferred to Thika coffee mills for dry milling.

Their vision is to increase yields to over 1,000,000 kg of cherry in the next three years.
