José Maurício de Souza is the owner of Sitio Boa Eserperança, a 22-hectare farm planted in several different varieties of coffee. José's history in coffee started in 1995, though he has been focusing on specialty since 2015. His farmland includes many areas of natural preserves, and he and his family are the only employees that work the coffee fields. He has recently adapted new technology and made improvements on his farm to create higher volumes of specialty coffee, and has invested in new coffee washing and drying technology.
