Cafe Imports is seeking a highly motivated Senior Salesperson to join our dedicated team. This person will have a wide range of responsibilities focused on business development and account management. The ideal candidate has direct experience selling either green coffee or a peripheral product in the coffee industry. This is a full-time position with a competitive benefits package.
Our ideal candidate brings with them one-on-one relationships with new and upcoming roasters in the specialty-coffee industry. This person has a strong aptitude for personal interaction and highly values honesty and integrity in those relationships.
A proven ability to cup coffees and a deep understanding of how coffee is bought and sold globally are extremely important. The ability to then demonstrate those findings in meaningful and transparent ways to customers is highly valued.
The person in this position will work directly under the supervision of the S.V.P. of Sales. As part of the larger Cafe Imports sales team, the ideal candidate will be able to make lasting contributions to the overall team culture and environment and constantly seek out operational improvements and opportunities.
Training will be provided at our HQ in Minneapolis, and abroad in our international sourcing offices. Training will be focused on our own cultural standards, trading, buying coffee, accounting, and customer-management systems.
