Buying Green Coffee

Buying Spot coffee means taking coffee that we currently have in our warehouse. For a list of current availability, please check the coffee offerings section of the website. All of our offerings are sorted by geographic location in the top tab. Clicking on US will show you our US inventory, EU – our inventory in London, and AU – our inventory in Melbourne. In addition, you can also see future offerings by clicking on “Afloat” to see all coffees on the water in route to us, or “Open” to see all coffees contracted but not yet shipped.

You can also sort by country, coffee type, or even search by flavor profile! We have worked hard to make an offering page that fits the way our customers buy coffee.

If you have feedback, please let us know on how we can make it better.

Purchasing coffees in full-pallet increments ensures the best value in shipping. See our shipping page for more information.
Pricing is not published on the website, due to daily changes and differing pricing structures for spot and contracted orders. For current pricing, please call 1-800-278-5065 or email our office.

Purchasing Coffee Forward or "contracting" is placing an order with us for future shipment. The coffees may not be in the country yet, or even ripe on the trees! Buying coffee forward is an excellent way for you to source and price your coffee out in the future. When you buy coffee forward, you will be entering into a contract with Cafe Imports for the specific coffee for a given delivery period (coffee taken beyond the contracted date is subject to additional carry charges). You can lock in the price if you like, or just source your coffee for the future, guaranteeing that you get what you want, when you want it subject approval of sample. Additionally, when the coffee arrives, you can take the coffee as you need from our warehouse. We have a variety of contracting and hedging tools that are here for your benefit. Please speak with your sales rep on what structure makes the most sense for you and your business. We are here to help talk you through that. To purchase coffee forward a storage charge of 1.5% per month of the coffee's value applies.

Sampling is totally free and encouraged in order to further calibrate with us so we can better understand the types of coffees you are searching for.

Payment for new customers is by cash, advance payment by check, cashier's checks, credit cards, and wire transfers. After we have a history (3 or more orders) with you and a completed credit application, Cafe Imports may extend terms of net 30. This will be based on your credit application, your specific needs, and our discretion. A finance charge of 1.5% per month will be applied to all delinquent accounts.

There is no minimum purchase. Cafe Imports sells from multi-container forward sells to single bag spot sells. We pride ourselves on being able to serve even the smallest roasters well. We have an online program where we ship (for free in the USA) in 50-pound GrainPro lined jute sacks. You can register for an account and purchase coffee online, right at Although it is more economical to buy in full bags and in full pallet increments, sometimes new and emerging roasters would like the freedom to buy a variety of coffees, 50-pounds at a time. We are here to buy and sell the best coffee in the world and are willing to do what it takes to share our passion for coffee with you.

Please note: Cafe Imports is a wholesale business and therefore is not permitted to sell coffee to the general public. Thank you for understanding.
