PURCHASE PLANNING

We have designed our purchase planning tools with you in mind to make buying coffee with us smoother than ever. By purchase planning, you can make decisions based on the most up-to-date information on current crop offerings with expert guidance from our sales reps working closely with our green buyers at origin.

Planning ahead for this year’s El Salvadorian harvest allows you first access to a wider variety of fresh-crop lots, the opportunity for greater possible creative sourcing outside our typical offerings, and the assurance of coverage throughout the year until the following harvest season. Our selections from El Salvador span a wide variety of versatile cup profiles and our sales reps are here to plan ahead with you to find creative solutions for your business needs, whatever they may be!

REGIONAL OFFERINGS

EL SALVADOR

Chalatenango Microlots

Our microlot offerings from Chalatenango are clean complex, and bright cup options for someone looking for the highest-quality, farm-traceable specialty coffees that Central America has to offer. Our producer partners here are dedicated and curious, experimenting with different processing techniques, as well as producing consistent high-scoring, washed coffees.

Apaneca Naturals

For an approachable cup with more mild acidity and sweetness, our Natural offerings from Apaneca make for ideal single-origin brews, or as backbone blend components that layer nicely with more complex or fruitier complements.

RELATIONSHIP-FOCUSED SOURCING

Community is and always will be at the heart of great coffee and our El Salvadorian offerings are a direct reflection of our relationship-focused sourcing team there.

Piero Christiani

Piero Cristiani

is from El Salvador, and his mother has been involved in the coffee industry for decades, imbuing Piero with a special passion for discovering and highlighting the best coffees the country has to offer. He is based in El Salvador for a portion of the year, which allows him to develop and maintain strong relationships there, and to keep an eye on the quality and volume of coffees year by year.

Alberto Reyes

Alberto “Beto” Reyes

joined our team nine years ago but his career in coffee started long before that when he began work on a coffee farm in 1995. As one of the most qualified and experienced cuppers in Chalatenango, Beto supports our relationships by visiting farms during harvest, offering support and advice on best practices and processing. “I feel very fulfilled to be able to help producers without neglecting my wife and children who always encourage me to try harder and help more coffee producers.” – Beto
