We want to make finding the right coffee for your roastery easier. We’re excited to announce a newly organized Offering List, now live on the website and Customer Portal.
We classify all our coffees as Signature, Select (previously Regional), or Microlot Coffees. Within each group, you’ll find specific offering types, two of which have just been added to our Select Coffees group:
Community Select
Community Selects are typically larger lots of coffee whose quality exceeds our Signature Coffees. Often, these are blended lots from various producers within a single community or micro-region that work together in an official or unofficial structure to sell their coffees. Cafe Imports works closely with these producers to blend specific day lots, curating the flavor profile and retaining traceability.
Farm Select
These farm-specific coffees are just under microlot quality but retain traceability to the farm level. Farm Select lots are often higher-quantity and sourced from excellent individual farms, making them perfect for the roaster that values more traceability and an elevated cup profile across their entire menu.
As quality-focused roasters, we hope these new sorting categories help you find the perfect coffee for your community while giving you the means to support smallholder farmers.
