We are pairing up with Glitter Cat Barista and Ikawa in giving away a new Ikawa Pro100 sample roaster to support marginalized coffee professionals within our greater community.

We believe in the power that coffee has to bring people together and recognize the barriers that prevent BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, disabled, and persons of marginalized gender from opportunities, education, and resources vital to their long-term success.

The IKAWA Pro100 has a 120g capacity, connects directly with the Ikawa Pro App for hands-free roasting, and has sample roasting profiles built-in for you to use as a starting point while you grow and craft your own profiles.

Cafe Imports will be following up directly to offer their consultation on sample roasting, cupping, and green-buying, as well as providing a free round of green coffee samples.

To be entered into the giveaway, applicants just need to fill out the short form in the link below. This application is open to anyone that identifies in the context of being a marginalized coffee roaster.

Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee of three lead by Veronica Grimm of Glitter Cat Barista, Sum Ngai, owner of Coffee Project NY, and Neichelle Guidry, founder of Black Girl Black Coffee.

Applications open on August 12, 2021, and close at 11:59 pm PST on August 20, 2021. This is for the USA, Puerto Rico, Canada only.
