Olivia started her coffee journey in South Korea back in 2017. Her passion for coffee grew after watching the World Barista Championship in Seoul. During the championship, she got the chance to try a sip of espresso which is Eugenioides from Colombia. She only insisted on vanilla lattes before, but this Colombian coffee awoke her passion to work in the coffee industry. After she found a strong curiosity for delicious espressos, all her interest focused on coffee. She spent most of her time learning anything and everything about coffee. She found herself wanting to learn more and eventually decided to move to Australia to explore the ins and outs of the coffee industry.
After moving to Melbourne, Olivia worked at various roastery cafes. She took on cafe jobs that included making coffee, roasting, retail, and QC. Besides that, she had the opportunity to judge at the Southern Regional and Australia National Latte Art Championship in 2022.
Whilst working at many coffee-related jobs, Olivia discovered that she would love to cup all different coffee around the world. She was thrilled to apply for a sensory assistant position at Cafe Imports Australia. Now she is really enjoying her new job here!
