Emily got started in coffee at the age of 16 somewhat by coincidence; she started working at a coffee shop in Michigan just to hang out with her friends who worked there. Once she entered that world, there was no turning back. After working as a barista for almost ten years off and on, the natural next step was to join the team at Cafe Imports.
Emily's other passion in life is sewing and quilting. She does contract quilting on the side to get her creative energy out, and loves making her own clothing. If she's not at her sewing machine, you can usually find her at the gym, or out on a walk with her husband and their dog.
