Emily is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, and has been living in Minnesota since 2015. Coffee has always been part of her life, so she's felt right at home since joining the customer service team at Cafe Imports in 2025.
Emily got started in coffee at the age of 16, somewhat by coincidence; she started working at a coffee shop just to hang out with her friends who worked there. After around 10 years of working as a barista off and on, she was ready for a new challenge of working in a different area of the coffee industry at Cafe Imports.
Emily's other passion in life is sewing and quilting. She does contract quilting on the side to get her creative energy out, and loves making quilts and clothing. If she's not at her sewing machine, you can usually find her at the gym, or out on a walk with her husband and their dog.
