Our People

Noah Namowicz

COO, Partner

Growing up in Milwaukee, Wis., Noah was introduced to good cheese, good sausage, and good coffee at a young age. At that time, Milwaukee was fostering some of the pioneers of specialty coffee in the Midwest, and Noah was able to experience and see them mature into the companies they are today, first-hand.

Fueled by the need to study, Noah's love for coffee grew more in college and he was completely blown away by the complex flavors and rich body that his local shop, Kopplin's, created when using new brew methods with stellar single-origin coffees. He hadn't seen that level of intention with coffee before. Those high expectations from then on ruined the majority of coffee for Noah.

He studied entrepreneurship and marketing at the University of St. Thomas, and now brings that creative energy to the office. Initially thinking he would put that entrepreneurship degree to good use, he didn't see himself working for any company other than his own, but the mission and energy of Cafe Imports drew him in. The honest and genuine ownership, and culture of the office kept him around for good. Cafe Imports gave him an outlet for that entrepreneurial spirit. Noah really loves building things, and he kicked off Cafe Imports' Australian operations while only having been with the company for a few years; he was also integral in establishing our sister small-bag company, La Bodega. Today, Noah has grown into the role of partner and SVP of sales, overseeing three sales teams on three continents.

Noah, his wife Megan, their daughter Bryn and son Archie live in St. Paul, Minn.

In addition to this coffee gig, Noah is generally a pretty active person (not that there is a choice with two kids). He is a certified coach at a local Crossfit gym, Timberwolf Crossfit.

Noah is highly involved in the Barista Guild of America, and formerly sat on the executive council. He is a level 1 certified Barista, credentialed examiner, and IDP certified. If you have any questions about the BGA or certification, feel free to contact him directly.
