Alex’s earliest memory of coffee was as a child, climbing over stacked burlap bags and watching his father roast coffee in a small Probat sample roaster. Now, coffee is never far from his tastebuds. After graduating and working several barista positions over the years, he now operates Cafe Import’s sister company: La Bodega, and is always happy to talk coffee. Outside of the coffee world, Alex is passionate about wilderness camping, canoeing, sustainable practices, literature, and his daily hour in the sauna (his highly recommended and universal cure for all).
